One Scoop or Two Needle Felted Ice Cream Sundae

I guess I’m on a creative binge this weekend. I found these really small glass ice cream glasses at an estate sale a couple weeks ago and knew I wanted to do something with them. So I got out my wool and started needle felting. A million pokes later (into the wool and my fingers..ouch!), I came up with this cute two scoop ice cream sundae.

It’s made of 100% wool to the core. Even the cherry is wool. The only thing that isn’t wool is the glass it sits in, the ribbon and the sprinkles. The sprinkles I added digitally and only because I don’t have any little beads right now. I’ll grab some real ones next week and stitch on it. But wanted you all to see what it looks like with sprinkles. It measures about 6 inches tall.

I love “staging” my little trailer and I think this will look cute sitting on the counter in the Shasta Compact. Perhaps with a vintage ice cream scooper laying next to it.

Hope you like it!

  1. I love your needle felting, so so cute! I just wanted to let you know I have your button up on my blog! First try, hey I'm getting good at this.
I love your Daisy trailer. I think that is the shape of what I want. It even could be a little bigger maybe, but I need to start studying trailers and figuring out what I am looking for specifically. As long as it is pink, (or it will be painted pink), I'll be happy! Great job on your needle felting. I'm just going to be trying a little this week for the first time on a mitten. I'll let you know how it goes. Ouch, I hate to think of my fingers getting poked.

  2. Julie,

Daisy would look darling painted pink. Have you seen this one?? This will give you a visual of what she could look like:;=2093474%3AAlbum%3A58664

Daisy is still looking for a good home. I'll probably cry when she sells.
