A town named Hell? Who is responsible for naming it that? I’m speaking of Hell, MI. It was actually quite a lovely place. We attended the Airstream rally after being invited by my friends Rhonda and Dave who were the hosts. It was a great time. We picked a nice shady spot up on the hill.
The view from the rear bed. Gotta love that little Jukebox all lit up.
The campground; Hell Creek Ranch is a campground where you can bring your horses. They have a number of trails for riding. This was our neighbor Sonny. Of course the only drawback to camping next to horses, is being down wind (:
This is one of my favorite’s that was there. It’s an Avion. The layout was perfect and the interior wood simply gorgeous! I couldn’t get a great exterior picture because of all the peeps in front of it, but you get the idea.
I loved the table!
Isn’t it pretty?!
I love how the curtain can separate the front area from the rear sleeping area. You know looking at all these Airstream’s made them look like mansions compared to our little pip squeak Bellwood LOL!
What a beautiful bedspread.
Ok, so that one was a vintage one….now have you seen an Airstream with a slideout before? I haven’t so this was pretty neat. I believe this one was an 04 and was told that they no longer make them with the slideouts. Talk about spacious! Geez, I could live in this one!
The interior of this unit is so spacious.
I was thoroughly impressed by this Airstream. Granted, for me I prefer my little vintage trailers but I could definitely see the appeal in having such a roomy trailer. But I’ll stick with old, tiny and cute (:

wow! these just make me smile.
i love this spot! always leave with a big smile!
This sounds like so much fun…I eventually want to own an Airstream some day. I am a recent trailer owner and joined the Sisters on the Fly in March. I bought a renovated Red Dale (17 feet) and although I avoid lighting the outside propane stuff, everything works well. I’ve had a lot of fun with it already. I painted it yellow and everyone gets out of my way…(Maybe they know I am a new driver.) I’d love to hear more about the Airstream rally. I love these old things. My parents got a Bambi AFTER WE LEFT THE HOME! Such a sad thing to have missed so much family time together. My dad was always away on foreign assignments and travel (petroleum in Latin America and Arabic countries). He missed such opportunities for time together with his family…
Oh wee what a nice Avion!
anyone have the dimensions of the Airstream shown?
I adore the little vintage…love the way it’s decorated!
Kelle, we were at the Metro Detroit Airstream Rally this weekend too but only met you briefly during the open house. Wish we had more time to have talked to everyone at the Rally. It is so unfortunate how time flys when your having fun and you don’t get a chance to really chit chat with all the guests! We had a wonderful time over the weekend, indeed a beautiful campground and we couldn’t have ordered better weather for a camping weekend!
We are the owners of the Avion at the rally that you took the interior pictures of. Boy oh Boy the pictures you took are just so wonderful, thanks for all the complements. It’s so nice to see all our hard work is appreciated. It is a 24 foot, 1964 Avion Holiday. Hope to see you again at the fall TCT Rally. PS loved visiting your Blog, such wonderful stories and pictures.
Hi Beth, so glad you came over and posted! I just loved your Avion. Thank you for letting everyone know what year and length (questions I of course forgot to ask as I was too swept away by her beauty to remember that (:) We too had a great time and I agree, the time just flies by too fast.
