I think this has to be the most uniquely themed vintage trailer I’ve seen to date. It makes you just want to take it to a trip to Candy Land. Isn’t it so sweet? (pun intended). Here is a bit of information the owner Julia shared about the trailer.
“Ginger is a ’59 Shasta Airflyte that we bought off of eBay. It had been lakeside in Wisconsin near Minnesota for a number of years. Redo work (since it is not restored) is the door inside & out, replaced a couple of broken windows, new wiring, new floor, we had the cushions reupholstered, new curtains, a new shelf where the missing magazine rack used to be, new water & gas pipes and “orange oil” on the walls, cabinets & ceiling to restore the luster of the birch. Removed all windows & trim & replaced with new butyl tape. New tires and of course the new paint job. Our son luckily is an autobody guy so he did the paint job. I had to pinky swear with him though that I would never make him paint another one. This is our third camper that he has painted. The inspiration is just that I love gingerbread men and having a Cheeseburger & Hippie themed camper already it was time for a gingerbread house.”

Oh, what a cute camper! So creative and unique.
Supercute!! Love it. Beautiful inside and out. Last Christmas I bought candy themed lights so I can decorate my 59 Airflyte in the yard. Yours would be amazing at Christmas strung with peppermint candy lights! If you do it, post a pic please.
Oh swoon! I love it! I am doing my new ‘baby’ over in a candy theme – so I particularly love this. Especially the pink cushions! Amazing presentation.
What a darling camper! I am a gingerbread man freak and I think this is just about the cutest little camper I have EVER seen!!!
My Mother & I used to dream together of getting a vintage trailer & dolling it all up. Many a time we would be on a trip and spot a trailer & boat show going on and stop in to ooh & awe over the vintage trailers that had been remodled. Sadly my mother passed away and we’ll never be able to share a remodel job together. However, I recently was able to purchase a 1958 Shasta for a mere $250.00! Granted, she is a mess! But because of my mothers dream, along with sites like yours and all the wonderful photos, I see her potential!
The plan at this time is to paint the outside white with red. And in loving memory of my sweet mother, she will be named “Alice”.
Thanks to everyone who share photos of your “Babies”, you inspire me!
