Northern Indiana Vintage Trailer Rally

cute

Have you ever went on a camping trip and felt like you were having such fun that the time went by way too fast? That is how we felt this weekend. We had an absolute blast at the Northern Indiana vintage trailer rally. I must say that it's one of my favorite rallies. The KOA is great and all the attendees are just wonderful. It was so nice to catch up with old friends … [Read more...]

Inside of the 1955 Bellwood

OK, so I got a bit snap happy and wanted to share some pictures with you all. I completed the dinette seat covers and while they aren't perfect, they will do the trick for now. I also appliqued a couple pillows I picked up with "J" and "B" (for those that don't know...those stand for her name; Jelly Bean). I haven't decided if I like them with the letters on there or … [Read more...]

Vintage 1955 Bellwood Trailer

55Bellwood

Look what showed up at my house! This is a 1955 Bellwood, a trailer of my dreams! I spotted on like this one in Kentucky awhile back sitting in front of someone's house. Of course I had to stop and check it out. The gentleman came out and told me that it wasn't for sale but encouraged me to go take a look inside. It was love at first sight! Ever since then I told … [Read more...]

Gearing up to restore a vintage trailer

Well, I think I'm sort of doing things a bit backwards when it comes to the 1956 Southland Runabout. I even bought a new thick memory foam mattress for the rear double bed. The reason this is all backwards is because all … [Read more...]

The ad said the camper was in good condition (you know this statement always leaves a lot open to each persons interpretation!) But I thought it wouldn't hurt to check it out. So I contacted the seller to inquire about it. The seller sent me some photos and … [Read more...]

61 Shasta Compact

100_1211

Daisy Shasta has a new little foster sister! We picked her up yesterday and plan to restore her. She is in pretty good shape and quite solid so she won't need a full restoration as far as replacing the interior or all the skin. She does have a boo boo on her lower hiney as you can see and I think we'll either replace that section of skin or come up with another … [Read more...]

Exterior Pictures of 64 Shasta Astroflyte

Camper1

I thought I'd share some exterior pictures for you all. This beauty is a 1964 Astroflyte. Most people that know a bit about Shasta's might initially confuse her with being a Astrodome as both models look identical on the outside. However, the difference is the Astrodome's had a different layout with a bathroom and the Astroflytes do not. I prefer the layout in the … [Read more...]
