Renovation on the 64 Shasta Compact

BeforeAfter

Today was a busy day! We tore out the ceiling birch around the vent and on the front wall above the counter. We then put new birch in. The framing looked good around the vent so we didn't need to replace it. That was a nice surprise. We still have the trim to do but we ran out of birch so off to get more soon. This little cutie is at the paint shop getting a new paint job. They finished the bottom half and today will paint the top half. Oh my, is she going to be so cute when she's all finished. Adding Diamond Plate To Your Trailer

done3sm

I've been asked before if I think there is a benefit to adding diamond plating to the front of our Shasta Compact. The answer I would give would be a definite yes! Diamond plate offers protection to that lower front area on your trailer. That area is so prone to rocks and various debris flying up and hitting it. Thus, producing dings and dents on the skin. The … [Read more...]

What followed me home; 63 Shasta Compact!

side1

Guess what founds it's way hitched to my bumper last night? A 1963 Shasta Compact with original birch interior. Overall it's in very good shape and I can tell the previous owners took care of it. The tires are like new. It does have a bit of A-typical water damage around the roof vent but the leak it had was repaired and it doesn't leak now. It also has some previous … [Read more...]
