I wasn’t sure what to do with these cubbies on each side of the trailer. They don’t have doors on them so I thought I could either make some hinged doors or go with fabric locker baskets. For now I went with the baskets and I think they look great in there! I found some small enough that would fit at Bed, Bath & Beyond. My plan is to add some red ric rac to the top edges of each to give them some color and then create labels for each one. That way I’ll know at a glance what each one contains without having to pull them out to look.
I found this perfect little tin at a Antique mall. I thought it was so neat that it had all 3 colors on it that I just had to have it!

your decorating is amazing!! it looks great! =D
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Oh it's just darling! I SO LOVE the aqua pots and pans! I have scoured the earth for such treasures! Where EVER did you find them? I love the idea of the red ric rac on the baskets…Red and aqua is my fave color combo you know…and the buttercup yellow is just SO COMPLETELY adorable! I could see doing LOTS of altered art in this little baby! Beautiful job making it YOUR own!
Where are you taking her next?
Hi, just wondering if you will be keeping this little cutie afterall?
Smiles, Christine
Adorable!! I haven't thought about using old tins. You are so creative.
Absolutely love the aqua and yellow with a splash of red, I have a tiny 61 Aloha with yellow counter tops so I might just steal your idea! Thanks for visiting me I am so happy to have found your blog!
Thank you all for confirming for me that folks actually read my blog (: I am tickled to see your comments and so glad you like how she's turning out. I knew I wanted to incorporate the aqua color and the red came as an after thought but I love the combo!
Yes, I could get myself to sell her. I just put so much heart/soul into this little cutie that I couldn't bring myself to sell her.
We hope to head out this summer to some rally's and also do some camping on our own. I've camped in her once prior to the interior decorating and goodness is she fun and cozy to camp in.
Ohhhh! I am drooling. I have a 1997 Shasta camper. It is fairly small. I would LOVE to redo the whole inside!! The windows have ugly cornices over the windows. Hmmmm!
LOVE IT!!! AND THANK YOU FOR THE BANNER PRINTABLES!!!
I love this! I'm currently redoing my own vintage camper to be a playhouse for the children. So I was looking around on the net for ideas and found your page – this is so cool! YOurs is somewhat similar to mine in the set-up inside!
You are doing a fantastic job! I have had a 1965 Kit Companion since June 2011 and she came with the Aqua-Turquoise appliances, so it was great to see you jump in with aqua accents. One thing I didn't like about my overhead open storage was how it always looked visually cluttered. I mounted cafe curtain rods (I would inside mount them if mine were like yours), and added sheers in the same color as the wall. It keeps everything from showing yet is transparent and light and I can see the baskets for organizing well. I have photos, if you are interested in seeing my work in progress just let me know. My colors are a warm white on the walls and ceiling, with dandelion yellow and cobalt blue accents, and aqua splashes to tie in the sink, stove and fridge. The photos don't show the addition of my curtains over the sheers or carpet, but they are a visual. The photography makes the colors look bolder than real life, but do give you a flavor. VERY Fun to read your blog.
I have a blog that is chronicling my adventure in learning to rebuild to road ready status a 13' 1963 Aritocrat LoLiner named Roxy. She is decked out in Aqua too but her colors are warm white, dark chocolate brown and black accents. Looks like a Starlight lounge from the 60's.
We are at a standstill currently as I don't have a shop and the Oregon weather isn't compatible to working with the skin off right now. But I do have some early photos and stories.
