Buttercup has gone into full glamping mode by getting a new 19 inch flat screen TV and DVD player installed. I know some would define camping as roughing it and while I’m all for that in some instances, there are times when a little inside entertainment is warranted, as in our case when camping with young children. In the evening or on rainy days, letting them watch Toy Story for the millionth time can be a life saver.
I must say I am a bit excited about it myself. Just imaging laying on the bed at night and watching The Long, Long Trailer!
Buttercup also got diamonds! Ok, so not those kind of diamonds but more diamond plating added to her front. I just love it! Previously, it was only a 12 inch high section across the bottom front and so I had Vintage Trailer Works add another 10 inches. Not only is it nice looking but it protects the front skin against flying rocks and such.
That looks awesome! And I 100% agree with it being necessary for small children. Movie’s can be the solution to lots of different “issues”. LOL.
Is the DVD player installed behind the wall? Would love to know details!
Kelle, how fun! Isn’t new technology great? An old fat heavy tv of just a few years ago would never work in your tiny trailer! I think I need to be on the lookout for a tiny tv! Carolyn
I really enjoy your blog. We love to camp and have owned several RV’s. We are now back to tent camping and I’ve been thinking of maybe just finding a small vintage camper like yours. You have inspired me! Come check out my blog I just started last week. I wrote about camping today. Hope you will follow me.

I have been wanting to get some “diamonds” as well. Do you mind me asking were you were able to find some? The front skin on my Aristocrat Lo liner doesn’t seem to reach the edges and water gets in. I thought of putting a metal plate like this across the front would help.
I would love to know which TV bracket you used for this and what you did with the wires? I need a TV in my caravan like this 🙂
The bracket I used is just a standard flat screen wall bracket. The wires are run through the closet wall and hidden inside the closet. That is one thing I wanted is for the wires to be hidden so it worked out well. Though it did require putting a hole in the wall. The TV itself hides the hole.
