I’ve seen some clever things throughout the years but this idea is not only clever but if it’s do-able in your trailer it also is solving a problem.
Who would of thought that with a hula hoop, bungy cords, a pump, a bucket, water container and a shower curtain you could actually have your very own shower facilities in your vintage trailer? Granted there is some set up involved but heck, if you are boondocking at Walmart or if the campground showers are just gross or if you just prefer to shower inside your trailer instead of using a shower tent, this might be an option. It may not work for everyone but you have to admit this is pretty clever!

Why thank-you miss Kelly for the shoutout and link to my blog. Having the shower makes life wonderful when only a shower will do. I certainly believe in a can do attitude and looking for unconventional solutions has solved many obstacles.
I’m just amazed at your creativity Karen! It’s just so clever. You are very welcome for the link and thank you for creating such a neat shower and sharing the idea with everyone!
Thank you for such a light weight great idea, was wondering what to use for the curtain hoop. Now I know thanks to you. I have a washtub, but will also check out the plastic tub and se which is lighter.
Sent earlier comment/query, but don’t think I got it to properly send. Don’t understand what you mean by putting hula hoop under curtain rod? Can’t seem to figure that part out from picture shown. Such a fantastic innovative solution – thank you so so much. Since I already have all needed items I’m so anxious to recreate. This basin/sponge bath thing has become distressingly unacceptable but I, too, can’t seem to bring myself to use public showers.
Looks like there is a black rod up at the ceiling that you could curtain off the back of the trailer from the front. The hula hoop appears to be held in place by wedging between the black curtain rod and the ceiling.
This is ADORABLE with the roses on it, what a great idea ! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with us!
