The renovation of the Hi-Lo is slowwwww going! Part of the reason is because I’ve been taking a break and up at the Tiny Lake House with the family. Feel free to click on that link if you want to see how our week and a half went up there. It was an adventure {some good and some not so good!}.
Anyway, so today I’m back home and I finished varnishing the ceiling and did a second coat on the walls.
Love that shiny warm glow!
I still have quite a bit to do yet. So it’s like taking baby steps and sometimes even hitting minor road blocks. This roof insulation may be an example of that if I can’t get the side edges of the roof to staple down to the sides. We’ll see…I’ll try tackling that tomorrow. If not my options are;
A. Remove the insulation and go with something thinner {this insulation you see below is just a smidgen thicker than it should be to fit that space. I thought it would work but I may be wrong about that.
B. I could install a brand new one-piece aluminum piece for the roof. Since there is no roof vent on this trailer that may be a good option anyway as then I would haven’t any roof seams going across the trailer like there is now. A new piece would need to be a tad wider than the old piece so that it would overlap the sides.
I’m getting anxious to get this trailer back together! Sometimes it’s hard to be patient but these trailers do take patience. Until next time….
Take 1″ x1″L shape for a home or something similar and screw it down to good wood .
After using bytle tape and seal top edge off seams and screw heads with decor lap sealant. Make sure the metals are clean . That is what my husband is doing.
Was having the same problem with mine when i put in the pink stuff. fortunately I guess for me though I had to replace the 1x1s that make up the ceiling joists, so I just lowered them all a smidge. I think that will work, fingers crossed!
nice job I love see this stuff
