Cushions, Curtains and Flooring Oh My!

Need cushions or curtains made? Contact www.CushionRecoverie.com  and tell them Little Vintage Trailer sent you!

Today has been an exciting day! I received my cushions and curtains from Deb and Lee of Cushion Recoverie. She’s going to make a few more for me that will be solid aqua to go on the bottom cushions of the dinette and the gaucho. Why you ask? Because I just can’t make up my mind if I like the red or not. It’s just my own color choices of material that is getting in the way of being a designer of greatness HA HA!

In any case, I love the workmanship of everything Deb and Lee do. Lee has been so helpful to me today. He came over and cut and installed all the floor quarter round trim for me. I can’t thank him enough for that! He did a fantastic job and I had an opportunity to learn from him. If left to my own devices I’m afraid there is no way my angled cuts would have turned out quite as well! I’m convinced I would of made several trips back and forth to Home Depot for more quarter round due to ruining several pieces. Oh and for those wondering, the rag rugs were $3.99 at Krogers grocery. I checked the other day and they were out of them. Darn! I knew I should of bought a couple more when I had the chance.

Check out the upper bunk cushion! It fits perfectly. This bunk actually pulls out to make it a double bunk but I don’t see us using it as a double very often so just the single cushion is what I wanted. Plus I have another cushion I could use up there should we ever have a need. The cover is just a heavy plain white canvas fabric that is easily removable for washing. I’ll cover it with a sheet and bedding to make it a cozy little loft for my 5 year old.

The ladder doubles as a bed guard so he doesn’t roll off.

Here is the dinette. It’s a challenge to get good photos with all the light coming in the front windows so I apologize for the glare. Where you see the bunk and ladder, there is actually a curtain rod on the ceiling that will eventually have a curtain on it.

I love the pattern on this fabric. I just wish I could of found a perfect match. Aqua is a tough color to match exactly sometimes because there are just so many variations of it. I will probably make some tie-backs using white or pink flowers and see how that looks.

Yes, that is an actual can of ham (no ham in it) that you see in the spice rack 🙂

A more true representation of the actual floor color. I LOVE this floor! Whew…it was a lot of work but was worth it. It consisted of VCT commercial tiles that were 12 x 12 that I cut down to 9 x 9. I’ll share some tips on that when I do a post about doing flooring. If you’ve never done it before, trust me you’ll want to read it to avoid some mistakes I made!

The gaucho in the back that turns into a full size bed. I will likely set it up and keep it as a full-time bed. But wanted to show you all a picture first.

Lastly, the bed all made up. It’s super comfy just the way I love it!

I still have more to do yet but thought I’d show you some progress so far.

Happy Camping!

I love that color scheme! I’m trying to decide whether to use that same group of colors or go with an atomic satt elite theme.

You are so talented at putting colors together! Everything in all your trailers looks fabulous. I love the curtains in this one; they bring everything together. Thanks for showing the inspiring pictures!

  3. Absolutely darling! I love it!

I do love the colors. I have aqua, red, white and black in my Serro Scotty (bought from ad on your website back in July). I understand the deal with aqua, I’ll go antiquing and find something I think will match and it just clashes when I get home. I found a dish cloth that matches and I carry that with me now. I like the canned ham touch.

I am interested in how you did the scale down on your flooring tiles. The size seems so more in line with the size of the camper…

Oh please do a post on the flooring soon! That is my next project. I am planning on purchasing the tiles next month and will trim them before installing. I am assuming it is different than installing in my house.

Yes,I am also ready to make a decision on flooring…would also love to find a place to get smaller amounts of tile rather than have most of two boxes left over…

  8. Hi where did you find the Aqua and white flooring?

  9. What type of camper is this?

  10. Would LOVE info on that floor!!!!

  11. I would like to know if you know anyone else that does curtains and cushions. CushionsRecovies are on Hiatus.

  12. where can I get the Aqua & white flooring.

  13. Bonny Colton says

I would love to know how the back bed folds out. Do you have slats that go underneath when you want the full size out?

    • Bonny,
There is a solid piece of wood that actually pulls out to create the base for the bed. If you look closely you can see it in the center.

  14. Where do you get a table for you camper? Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you
