She was built in 1965 and is 16’ long. She has been in our family for 12 years and provided us with wonderful camping memories. Unfortunately, children grow into teens and we have outgrown her! We gave her a full interior renovation…Custom black out draperies & pillows, Custom upholstered dinette and couch cushions, FLOR carpet tile, New kitchen countertop, and new toilet and bathroom floor tile. Please note all linens and accessories are included.
She has the 2 original bunk mattresses which are in good condition. Original Morphy Astral refrigerator with freezer (previous owner said it worked, but we couldn’t figure it out and just used it as an icebox which worked excellent for weekend camping). 3 burner propane stove and oven both in working condition. Propane heater in working condition. Beautiful vintage lights which run on electric or battery power. When lit, they provide the coziest warm glow against the interior birch walls.
We installed a new toilet, water pump, larger fresh water tank ,new black water tank, new tires and axle. We also installed an inverter but unfortunately this was recently stolen along with the original propane lantern housing.
Where she could use a little TLC… We painted over an amature paint job from the previous owner so a proper paint & restoration job would make her truly shine! The existing door & lock could use some attention or replacing. The handle is damaged and there is a gap when closed however, we have used it this way for years just using an exterior lock. The rear cargo compartment has difficulty opening & closing. The previous owner patched the roof (see interior photos). We have never experienced a leak since owning her. The metal undercarriage could use some additional screws and a small hole patched and there is surface rust on the bumpers. One front window has a small cosmetic crack that has never leaked.
There are several holes in the undercarriage and new sheet metal would be advisable.
