~ ~ THIS TRAILER IS NOW SOLD ~ ~
A true time capsule! This beautifully preserved Aljoa Sportsman ‘canned ham’ trailer is all original, with the exception of her shiny new blue-and-white exterior paint.
Step inside and feel the warmth of the rich natural wood that adorns the ceiling, walls and curved cabinetry. The beautiful, unrestored original interior is in near perfect condition. Even the original Aljoa tags are still affixed to the back seat cushions of the dinette!
Interior: Original glass gas lamp fixture above the table, and new vintage trailer light cover over the 12 volt sidelight. The Formica table detaches from the wall to make a twin size bed.
Dual water faucets – one for “city water” hookup and the other is an original pump type faucet for fresh water from the storage tank. Like-new Preway 4-burner gas stovetop with original old-fashioned icebox below. Put a block of ice inside and it works great. Remember what my mother always told me…heat rises and cold goes down.
Brand new custom-made 5.5” Sedona RV high density support memory foam mattress with smooth organic cotton cover*. There is a rolled-up Naugahyde cot located above the main bed that can be pulled open and secured with curtain-rod type attachments on the walls to use as a storage area or sleeping area for small children.
Large closet with wardrobe mirror and hanging rod for clothes. There is no toilet.
Old-fashioned louvered windows with lever-style openers. All window coverings consist of the original louvered aluminum blinds, except for the new bamboo shade on front dinette window.
Exterior: The body of the trailer is 10’ long with a 3’ tongue. It is 80” wide and 8’ tall from the ground up. With a little bit of air out of the tires it fits inside of a 94” tall garage opening.
Outside keyed storage door. This storage area can also be accessed by inside cabinet door under the bed.
Original baby moon hubcaps with vintage ship insignia.
Disclaimers: Propane tank is also original and should be checked out before trying out the stove and gas lamp. There are a few minor road dings on the lower front skin. And some small dings in other areas of the trailer. Minor water damage around vent pipe located in the ceiling of the upper kitchen cabinet above the sink. (see photo)
We have several old black-and-white photographs showing a few of her adventures with the original owner towing her to some famous U.S. landmarks behind a 1950’s Cadillac.
This one-of-a-kind rare find will make it seem like you are back in time buying it off the showroom floor…a real gem! Add some decorating and make it your own.
