1968 Forester camper
1968 Forester camper
14×8 foot box, 16 feet from bumper to hitch, roughly 2,000 pounds.
Clean title in hand.
Rear couch folds down into a full size bed. Upper bunk is about the same size, or can be folded up for more head space. Dinette folds down into bed also. Could sleep up to 6 people if you all get along really well!
Original furnace (propane, we have never used it)
3-way Refrigerator – worked last time we used it in 2020. Worked at least on electric last time we had it plugged in (early September 2023).
Propane stove w/ vent hood
Per the previous owners, there is a DC water pump for on-demand water supply while dry camping (we have never used it), tires with bearing buddies and a spare tire (new in 2018). Interior lights, brake lights and blinkers work.
We purchased this in 2018 from someone who had done a good amount of updating to it. I have a few before pictures if you’d like to see them. Their description of the rehab was that they “went through all the systems and repaired or replaced what needed to be and there were a couple of leaks where he had to do some replacement of soft areas with new lumber and plywood.”
We love this little camper! But we just have not had the time to use it enough in the last couple of years to warrant keeping it. I’m certain someone else would love it AND use it. We have not taken it camping since 2020, but we have towed it a couple times since then (most recently earlier this summer), and it still pulls well. Tires and bearings appear fine, and in working order (tires hold air, bearings didn’t get hot last time we towed).
There are no active leaks that we are aware of, but there is some internal water damage to the walls along the “driver’s” side. We stored it with only a tarp cover two winters in a row. The second winter had a lot of snow and fluctuating temps, and we believe the tarp trapped water instead of letting it drain from the roof, forcing some of the water inside. Since removing the tarp, we have had no new incidents of leaking or new water damage that we can see. The damage that exists is likely an easy fix for someone who is handy and has the time. There is no smell or visual evidence of mold or mildew, and we have spent time in the camper just parked at our house with no allergic or other adverse reactions.
Cushions and curtains were new in 2018; no odors, or evidence of water damage or other stains. Most additional items seen in the photos can be included in the sale of the camper.
