Interview on Hallmark Home and Family Show!

I know this is really, really short notice but if you tune in tomorrow to The Home and Family show on the Hallmark channel at 10am/9am central you see a short interview I did with them via Skype from inside our 55 Bellwood. My segment is near the end of their interview with MaryJane Butters of http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/ where she's talking about Glamping. Hope … [Read more...]

Camping Couture – Just What Every Glamper Needs!

Recently I found out about Sourpuss clothing and I have to say their retro and vintage inspired clothing is awesome! I was so excited today when I received this wonderful Happy Kamper Aubrey dress in the mail. The fit is perfect and I absolutely love the design! It has little vintage trailers, pink flamingos, martinis, bows and retro stars. It's totally fabulous and … [Read more...]

Check out this fun video of Shady Dell trailer park located in Bisbee, Arizona. If you are traveling through the area trailer-less, this looks like it would be fun place to stay. … [Read more...]

Vintage Camper Pin Cushion & Pillow Pattern

Let's make some cuteness shall we? This is one of my new designs that I just finished up. You know how they say it's a lot of work to restore or build a vintage trailer from the ground up? Not with this one! This is a fun and easy little canned ham camper to make. It's soft and squishy and I'm sure everyone that sees it won't be able to resist picking it up. Those of … [Read more...]

Seeburg Wall-O-Matic Juke Box

Do you all remember these? Do you remember sitting at a diner and being able to put in a dime or quarter and play a couple of tunes right at your table? OK, I admit I probably wasn't quite born yet to remember but I have seen modern ones in diner's in California. This is a Seeburg Wall-O-Matic 100 Juke Box. This little table top version would sit at the table in a … [Read more...]

Saving Space with Space Bags

I was given a sample set of Space Bag Dual- Use Bags to try out and review for you all. I have to say these are really neat! These are great for storing items such as clothing and bedding in a vintage trailer as we all know how space is a commodity in our little trailers. I used these a couple weekends ago to store an extra set of bedding including sheets and a … [Read more...]

Keeping Your Camper Documents Organized

I don't know if you are like me but I am the kind of person that needs to be organized or I'd be in completely chaos. For me there is nothing more frustrating than needing to find something only to discover I can't recall where I put it. So of course I needed to find a way to keep all of my vintage trailer documents and records organized all in one place. Liz … [Read more...]

Rally Set up

Have you ever went on a camping trip and felt like you were having such fun that the time went by way too fast? That is how we felt this weekend at a rally. It was so nice to catch up with old friends and make new ones. We arrived on Thursday (next year I'm going a day early) and got all set up. This was Jelly Bean's first camping trip. Of course as usual I forgot … [Read more...]

How to add an awning on a trailer with no awning rail

So what do you do if your trailer doesn't have an awning rail? Well, there are a few options. 1. You could install an awning rail (this would be the most ideal solution). 2. You could use a EZ-Up canopy. 3. You can possibly clip your awning to your J-rail as a temporary solution. The third option is what I'm going to have to do for a upcoming vintage … [Read more...]

Vintage Feedsack Curtains for Vintage Camper

OK, so I've sort of kicked around a few ideas for curtains for the 55 Bellwood including novelty fabric and vintage hanky's. What I finally decided on is to use various vintage feed and grain sacks. I wasn't sure how these would look but after sewing up a couple I am actually quite digging them. They are unique and pretty neat looking. I actually don't even mind the … [Read more...]
